Banff Canada a small town in the Canadian Rockies
This elk was just out and about munching on someone's lawn, and I thought squirrels were bad. This on one of the main streets in Banff
View of the main street in Banff this is a ski town in the winter and still very beautiful and much warmer in May.
The town has many shops, places to eat and beautiful scenery to enjoy while out for a walk.

Canadian Rockies Avalanche Area this was some road |
They have so many avalanches they build tunnels so that the cars can go through and the snow and whatever comes with the avalanche goes over the top it is really something to see |
May snow on the Canadian Rockies just beautiful to see
Going through there tunnel thank God no avalanche I'm sure the noise is very loud and not sure just how would get out if an avalanche did go over. It is very dark going through the tunnel. |
There are few tunnels like this on the Canadian Hwy we seen lots of hug branches, large trees, rocks, etc on top of the tunnel and below that had come down the mountain. The road is closed Fall to April sometimes longer. You can also see thre railroad and they also have the same tunnels to protect against avalanches.
